 What is Non-Degree Seeking Status?

Non-Degree Seeking (NDS) applicants are individuals who intend to take courses for reasons other than pursuing a degree (i.e., personal enrichment, vocational enhancement or for certification purposes). Credits earned as a non-degree seeking student will not automatically be applicable to a specific degree plan unless students choose to change their degree plan with the ACU Registrar's Office and submitting the $30.00 Degree Plan Filing Fee. Some institutions limit the number of credit hours taken in non-degree seeking status. ACU allows up to 18 units (6 courses) at the Undergraduate level and 9 units (3 courses) at the Graduate level.

If students decide to change their status from Non-Degree Seeking (NDS) to Degree Seeking (DS), they will need to submit a change of degree status objective request along with the $30.00 Degree Plan Filing Fee to the ACU Registrar's Office.
